WASHINGTON — A helmetless motorcyclist was clipped by a pickup truck in Washington Saturday.

The motorcycle was northbound on N. 3050 East approaching W. Telegraph Street, Washington City Police spokesman Ed Kantor said. A red pickup truck was pulling out of the IHOP parking lot and failed to see the rider. The truck clipped the motorcycle, sending the rider to the pavement.
The rider was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George for evaluation. Kantor said scrapes and bruises were the only apparent injuries, but since the rider was not wearing a helmet, he was taken in to be checked over.
The pickup driver was cited for failure to yield, Kantor said.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

Pay attention, think!
It’s too bad that these aren’t freight trains hitting these jerks who pull out in front of motorcycles.
Truly one of the poorest article on STG News. The writer incessant use of “helmetless” shows the lack of any creativity from this writer. Seems his whole focus is about the motorcyclist not wearing a helmet. Maybe he should have berated the truck driver instead of constant bashing and use of “helmetless”. Three times in a very short article is extremely poor journalism. Would he have have said three times a helmeted motorcycle rider? Exactly the same reason we cancelled the Spectrum horrid writing, seems STG News is headed that direction too!!!
Also the IHOP parking lot doesn’t have an entrance or exit onto 3050…Just keeps get better!
