ST. GEORGE – Radio veteran Ric Wayman has worked every shift radio has to offer. But he admits there’s nothing quite like the overnight shift.
“The night shift is where the interesting people come out. During the day you have all the normal people running around with their 9 to 5 jobs,” he said. “But from midnight to 6, the people that are up at that time have a totally different outlook on the world.”
Some listeners may be from another world entirely. Years ago, Wayman took a strange call in the dead of night and found out some critics can’t be ignored.
