ST. GEORGE – Monday morning didn’t get off to a good start for two drivers after a collision left parts of their vehicles bent and mangled.

Shortly after 9 a.m., in the area of 1990 East near 344 South, just off Mall Drive in St. George, the driver of a northbound Dodge Intrepid drifted into the southbound lane and got swiped by a southbound Chevrolet work truck, St. George Police Officer Jamison Hale said.

The impact shredded the front driver-side of the Intrepid and blew out the tire. On the truck, a rear driver-side panel was peeled back along with a portion of the back bumper.

The driver of the Dodge Intrepid was cited for improper lane travel, Hale said.

No injuries resulted from the crash, and the Intrepid was towed from the scene.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
