(June 13, 1971 – August 26, 2015)
Darin Douglas Wells, 44, was taken from us as a result of an auto/pedestrian accident in Newport Beach, California, on August 26, 2015.
He was born June 13, 1971, in Murray, Utah. He graduated from Pine View High School where he participated in football and wrestling, taking third in state. He attended SUSC on a biology scholarship.
After serving an LDS Mission to Oklahoma, he married his sweetheart Leeana Conley and they added three sons: Brandon, Christian and Alec.
Darin loved water sports. He particularly enjoying skiing, boarding and cliff jumping at Lake Powell, one of his most favorite places. Rock climbing, canyoneering and hiking in Zion was also his passion. A happy memory was running the St. George Marathon alongside his Dad. Darin was happiest and most appreciative when he was outside enjoying God’s creations.
He was known for his kind, sweet, fun loving, cheerful, conversational, analytical, accepting personality and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father Doug Wells (Micki), his mother Nancy Wells, sisters Marcy Pruitt (Rob), Jeny Monson (Matt), Mandy Jensen (Carl) and his 3 sons.
Funeral Services
- A celebration of his life will be Saturday, Sept. 12, 5 p.m. at the Snow Canyon State Park, Sand Dunes parking area.
