Sue Dye Skinner, age 78, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving husband on August 17, 2015, in St. George. She was born October 11, 1937, in Salt Lake City, to Met Melvin Lewis Dye and Carrie Mae Andersen Dye.
She was raised in Salt Lake City and attended Rowland Hall from preschool through high school. She later attended Colorado College and the University of Utah. Sue married Jack Skinner on June 24, 1958. Sue had a very successful and happy career in the travel industry and taught travel at the Bryman School in Salt Lake City.
At retirement in 1995, she and Jack moved to St. George, where they were members of the Episcopal Church and they both enjoyed a wonderful life together. Sue has many friends and associates that will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband John Skinner, of 57 years; children; Larry Skinner of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Kathy Skinner of Portland, Oregon.
- A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 26, at 3 p.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church in St. George.
