Prep soccer: Warriors, Titans come away with afternoon tie

ST. GEORGE — Snow Canyon and Syracuse battled to a 1-1 tie Thursday night, with the Titans leaving town with a 1-1-0 record after Wednesday’s win over Desert Hills.

snow-canyon-smKyra Tolbert put Syracuse ahead 20 minutes into the contest and the lead held into halftime.

The Lady Warriors answered with a goal by Mishayla Fausett off a nice assist from Serena Lindsey 10 minutes into the second half. Neither team could find the back of the net the rest of the way.

Mada Mooring was solid in goal for Snow Canyon, which went to 1-0-1 on the young season. She had five saves for the Warriors.

Snow Canyon travels north for a pair of games this weekend. Friday, the Warriors play at Fremont and Saturday SC visits Davis.

hurricane-smMeanwhile, at Delta the Hurricane Lady Tigers pulled off a 4-1 win with three goals in the second half.

Jayden Langford had two of those goals and Abby Hall and Kylee Stevens also scored for Hurricane, which improves to 2-1-1 with the win.
