Snow Canyon won one and tied one this weekend as the preseason soccer action heated up around the state. Defending region champ Dixie dropped a 1-0 road game at Lehi, while defending state champ Cedar lost a tough 3-2 decision at Wasatch.

soccerThe Lady Warriors played late into the night Friday night after lightning delayed the start of their match with Providence Hall. But the weather delay didn’t slow down a barrage of goals by the home team as Snow Canyon pulled away with a 5-0 decision.

Five different Warriors scored for SC, including Brooklyn Bell, Jenny Stewart, Mackenzee Brough, Jade Mooring and Mishayla Fausett. Mada Mooring and Valeria Escobar teamed up for the shutout in goal. Four of the five SC goals were before halftime.
