State Street is closed eastbound at about 1300 West where traffic is being redirected south on side roads and then back onto State Street, Hurricane Police Sgt. Brandon Buell said.

State Street westbound is moving, although one lane is blocked and will be for a short period time past 5 p.m., Buell said.

The closure is due to what Buell described as a pretty substantial crash involving two vehicles. Further details are not provided in the immediate.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and eastbound State Street is expected to be closed for quite a while.
