FEATURE — For the fifth installment of Dixie’s Adopt-a-Paws, we introduce our new host and avid animal lover Kassi Gillette, as she visits with April McManus over at the St. George Animal Shelter.

About St. George Animal Shelter
St. George Animal Shelter, which had a 99 percent save-rate for 2014, is a city-owned and operated facility aimed at finding new homes for owner-surrendered and stray animals that find their way to the shelter.
For the month of August, the shelter is offering a special $10 adoption fee for cats. The normal fee for cat adoptions is $40, and for dogs the fee is $50. All animals come home spayed, neutered and vaccinated.
The shelter openly accepts donations as well as volunteers. Anyone interested in lending a hand (or paw) to support the shelter or who wants to visit the facility to find their next animal companion are welcome to stop by or giving them a call.

Mesaman, from the looks of the photo it looks like you might get lucky if you’re a gentleman. You can tell the pooch her mommy was a bitch. That comes easy to you.
congrats on matching MM’s esteemed level of classy commentary.
…
i know a handful of users post thoughtful commentary, but this place is becoming a troll dump …
LOL.! nice shot at MESAMORON I love it
Well with any luck at all REAL LIFE DORK might be able to get adopted and find a home today
Yes FUN BAG. this is a tragic moment for journalism. I am devastated by the trolling and disrespect being shown here by a few people like MESAMAN and REAL LIFE. It hurts my heart to see such treatment of our fellow human beings. It is such a tragedy to see people of our community not have love and respect for each other.. I will pray for each and everyone of them…
omg, i might have to retract that statement. I went over and started reading the facebook stgnews comments, and it’s like full on Retardville over there. Trolls and nonsense that make even Mesa look respectable(ahaaha). Our comments here are much better. Reminds me why I don’t use that FB garbage anymore 🙂
*almost make even Mesa look respectable (because i don’t think it’s possible) 😉
I am loving this feature on adoptable pets!
Well thank you for that, sagemoon!
