Guy Wilson Bowler passed away July 11, 2015 at his home. He was born December 25, 1922 in St. George, Utah, to George Henry and Lula Lenore Wilson Bowler. He married Gertrude Jensen on June 5, 1946 in the St. George LDS Temple.

Guy was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Gertrude Jensen; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann Bowler; grandson Shawn Bowler; and granddaughters Megan Elizabeth Bowler and Samantha Ashley Bowler. He is survived by his children: Bradley (Vicky) Bowler of St. George, Loreen (Andy) Wilson of Cedar City, Gail (Roger) Humphries of Gunlock, Marie (Larry) Jessup of Gunlock, John (Shelley) Bowler of Veyo, Kalvin (Becky) Bowler of Gunlock, Kendle (Robin) Bowler serving as president of the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission, Vance (Julianne) Bowler of St. George, Dorrel (Joni) Bowler of Arvada, Colorado, and Odean (Kim) Bowler of Gunlock. He is also survived by 50 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services

  • Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at the Gunlock LDS Ward Chapel, 733 N. Main St., Gunlock
  • A visitation will be held Saturday, from 9-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel
  • Interment with full military honors will follow in the Gunlock Cemetery
