A Subaru Forester was being driven west on 700 South and attempted to turn left at the light, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.

The driver of the Subaru failed to stop at the light and collided with a Nissan Sentra that was traveling north on Bluff Street.

The drivers of both cars were uninjured, Despain said. The Sentra was carrying two passengers, and both complained of minor injuries. They were checked out by paramedics from Gold Cross Ambulance but not transported.

Both vehicles were towed from the accident scene. Traffic was slowed for approximately 45 minutes while the accident was investigated and cleaned up.

The driver of the Subaru Forester  received a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
