Traffic advisory: Interstate 15 shut down through Cedar City

UPDATE 4:40 p.m. | One northbound lane has been opened and traffic is no longer being diverted through Cedar City.

CEDAR CITY –  The northbound lanes of Interstate 15 have been closed due to an accident near milepost 58 following a heavy rainstorm in Cedar City.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation via Twitter, a traffic accident has caused the closure of northbound I-15 from milepost 57 through milepost 59 in Cedar City.

Traffic is being routed through Cedar City on State Route 130.

    why cant they just scooch them there cars off the road and get traffic movin’ quick?
