A-List: 6 smoothies to go bananas over at The Orange Peel

OPINION — The Orange Peel is the apple of my eye.

(And it’s not just because they created the Orange Cream Dream.)

There really isn’t anything more refreshing than a fresh fruit smoothie on a hot summer day. Or any day, really. Here’s six sensations you have to taste ASAP at The Orange Peel:

1. Big Kahuna

If you like pina colada, you need to order this one!  This tropical smoothie is a mixture of pina colada, strawberries and banana. It’s also the #1 seller.

Like all of their smoothies, the big kahuna can be requested regular or sugar-free.

TIP: You can also add extra fruit for $0.75!

2. Almond Protein

This creamy smoothie contains 30.4 grams of protein in 24 oz.! It is a blend of strawberry, banana, pineapple, whey protein, apple juice, fresh coconut and sliced almonds.

This one is basically lunch in a cup, as it can be substituted as a meal replacement. Sounds like the happiest lunch hour to me!

Tip: Splenda is a popular choice for a sweetener in this smoothie.

3. Skinny Berry

The skinny berry is a berry (ha) delicious way to drink your fruits and veggies. It contains the perfect combination of kale, spinach, blueberries, strawberry, wheatgrass and apple juice.

This smoothie is vegan friendly and gluten-free. It is frequently ordered to help with weight loss.

Tip: Add honey!

4. Orange Cream Dream

Hello, favorite smoothie. Ever. I’ve been the OCD’s biggest fan for the last five years.

It is considered to be a mouth-watering citrus blend of orange juice, orange creme and banana. I agree. Obviously.

Tip: ORDER THIS ONE! Sorry, please order this one.

5. Sweet Tooth

This option is a no-brainer if you have a sweet tooth. It’s a tropical and creamy blend of coconut, banana and vanilla.

Tip: Request raw coconut shavings on the top. Thank me later.

6.  The Green Gandhi

This option is a cold pressed, 100 percent raw juice. It’s full of spinach, kale, parsley, celery and green apple. It is gluten-free and vegan friendly.

Tip: If you want to go green, get gandhi.
