SALT LAKE CITY — The National Weather Service announced that there is a late spring storm expected through most of Utah this weekend.
The storm is expected to start Friday, hitting mostly eastern Utah, then spread to most of the state Saturday and head toward northern Utah Sunday.
The service said the storm could bring heavy rainfall, thunder storms, heavy winds and even hail in some parts of the state.
While St. George is outside of the area expected to be hit with heavy rains this weekend, those in Cedar City should be prepared for the storm, and any travelers should be wary as well.
Those planning to go hiking or participate in recreation should check the Flash Flood Forecast before heading out.
