MESQUITE, Nev. – Calling all parrotheads and beach bums! The CasaBlanca Resort and Casino, 950 W. Mesquite Blvd. in Mesquite, Nevada, is kicking off its Casapoolooza Summer Concerts by the Pool series on Saturday with a Jimmy Buffet tribute and beach party.
Doors open at 7 p.m. on this free 21-and-over event which is set to take advantage of the lovely weather and unique poolside setting found at the CasaBlanca.
“Mother, mother ocean, I’ve heard you call”
With its cascading waterfall and laid back atmosphere, the pool at the CasaBlanca Resort and Casino offers the idyllic setting for a night of beach-themed music and merriment featuring the Stinson Brothers, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band.
The band will be playing some of Jimmy Buffet’s most iconic tunes along with other beach party songs from artists such as Van Morrison, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Elvis, the Gin Blossoms, Buddy Holly and more.
“Our pool area is very unique and provides a neat backdrop for some great concerts,” Christian Adderson, corporate sales manager for Mesquite Gaming, said, “it has a great tropical feel, it truly is an oasis in the desert.”
Guests can pull up a lounge chair, dance to the music or take a dip in the pool all while listening to high-caliber live music.
“It’s like a big beach party,” Adderson said.
“Strumming my six string, on my front porch swing”
The evening’s festivities will begin with the musical styles of DJ Lian who is new to the Casapoolooza stage, Julia Abouzeid, director of operations for Mesquite Gaming, said. DJ Lian will play from 7-8 p.m. and in between sets from approximately 9-9:30 p.m.
The Stinson Brothers will bring the beach party home beginning at 8 p.m.
“Some people claim that there’s a woman to blame”
A fun and exciting feature of the night’s entertainment will be the presence of the Bud Light Girls who will be mingling among the guests, Adderson said.
Budweiser is one of the main sponsors, Adderson said, adding that there are a multitude of bars where guests can buy a drink, relax by the pool and enjoy a Saturday evening.
