The Flyers held a slim 1-0 advantage at the half over the Cedar Redmen on a goal by Conner Beuhner. But Dixie exploded for four second-half goals en route to a 5-1 win. Beuhner added as second tally after intermission, his fourth of the season, and the Flyers got goals from Jonathan Acosta, Jose Morales and McLane Keenan to turn the game into a rout. Keenan now leads the team with seven goals this season.

Dixie improves to 7-0-1 in region, good for 22 points. That leads Pine View and Snow Canyon, who have 18 points each.

Cedar avoided the shutout with a goal by Mat Allen. The Redmen fell to 1-10-1 overall and 0-8-0 in region play.

Dixie is at Canyon View Friday while Cedar has a bye and then hosts Hurricane next Tuesday.

Desert Hills and Snow Canyon staged a defensive war Tuesday night, with the Warriors emerging with a 1-0 win. Braydon Brough got the shutout for SC. The only goal of the game came on a penalty kick by Yetzel Carrillo in the first half.

It was a critical win for SC and a devastating loss for the Thunder. Snow Canyon pulls even with Pine View in the standings with 18 points, though the 6-2 Warriors have played one more game than PV.
