SOUTHERN UTAH — The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a “Wind Advisory” for the west, central and southwest valleys of Utah from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday with winds reaching gusts of 50 mph.
Affected areas
Iron County, Washington County and Beaver County, including the cities of Delta, Fillmore, Beaver, Cedar City and Milford.
Winds
Winds are expected to blow south from 10-20 mph early Sunday and will increase to 20-30 mph with gusts reaching near 50 mph.
Timing
Southerly winds in the 10-20 mph range are expected early Sunday and will increase to 20-30 mph with 50 mph gusts for the late morning through the early evening hours on Sunday. Winds are expected to decrease in the mid-evening on Sunday.
Impacts
Strong crosswinds are expected along west to east routes and will create difficult traveling conditions, especially for lightweight and high-profile vehicles.
Areas near open agricultural lands could experience considerable dust blowing with accompanying reduced visibility.
Precautionary and preparedness actions
A wind advisory means sustained wind speeds of at least 31 mph or gusts of 45 mph are expected. Motorists in the advisory areas should be prepared for sudden gusty crosswinds and reduced visibility from blowing dust, which can make driving difficult.

Shuuuuddduuuupppp TROLL!
The sky is falling.! the sky is falling.!
Focusing on the wind advisory rather than making more wind, I traveled to Strawberry Valley on Sunday, got 15.5 mpg on a 2002 Expedition. Might be some kind of record. This evening it was calmed considerably and almost died out by the Black Ridge. Sorry if I ruined the whining.
What exactly is a “troll”?
