Young cousins offer singing telegrams on Valentine’s Day; STGnews Videocast

ST. GEORGE — Two young cousins are spreading love through song on Valentine’s Day to anyone requesting a singing telegram for their sweetheart.

Eden Dalley, 11, and Audra Yeaman, 9, are serving the Washington County area on Valentine’s Day by delivering a performance of the song “I Do Adore,” by singer and songwriter Mindy Gledhill. The two girls said they are also working on other optional songs for Valentine’s Day.

Melinda Yeaman, Audra’s mother, gave the youngsters the idea, after both girls wanted to find a way to earn, and save, their own money. Audra wants to start a dog-walking business, to earn money to purchase her own dog.

The girls will offer a balloon and a cookie along with the performed song, and the cost is $15. The Valentine Day package can be booked through their Facebook page.

Melinda Yeaman said she is happy to see the girls working together to raise their own money and be entrepreneurs.

“There’s such a stigma today of the younger generation not having a work ethic and feeling entitled,” she said.

“We know that’s not true for everybody, so it’s really heartwarming to see them want to work and want to do something by using their creativity and their talents. They both have performed a lot… It’s great to see them want to share their talents with other people to bring smiles to their faces,” Yeaman said.
