HURRICANE — A southbound Chevrolet pickup truck landed in the median of Interstate 15 near mile marker 15 and the Hurricane Exit 16 Monday afternoon.
At 12:02 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s officers responded to the accident, Washington County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Dave Crouse said.
A man driving a blue Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling southbound on I-15 when he began coughing due to a previous illness, Crouse said.
“He began coughing so much that he lost control and veered off into the median,” he said.
The driver suffered minor injuries to his nose, but was not transported from the scene, Crouse said. Moderate damage was sustained to the front end of the truck, and no citations were issued.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Hurricane City Fire Department, and Utah Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

During his coughing fit, he had his head turned each time while also checking himself for a hernia. Should have been watching the road.
Ok – THAT was funny! 😉
