IVINS — Two juveniles had their outdoor fun cut short Monday after they rolled an all-terrain vehicle.
At approximately 1:40 p.m., the St. George Communications Center received a medical call about two juveniles who had wrecked an ATV at 1100 Tuacahn Drive in Ivins.
“It happened on private property, so we’re not investigating it as an accident or anything like that,” Santa Clara-Ivins City Police Officer Chad Holt said. “It was just a medical transport.”
The incident was a simple case of operator error, Holt said. The two were driving the ATV when they turned a corner too quickly, overcorrected and then rolled.
An Ivins City Fire EMS ambulance responded to the incident, Holt said. One juvenile declined to be transported to the hospital, but the other was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George with non-life threatening injuries.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by responders on scene and may not contain the full scope of findings.
