Colette Couton Monahan, age 47, passed away November 28, 2014, of ovarian cancer at Dixie Regional Medical Center. She was born November 9, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Steven Edward Couton and Kaye Hansen Couton.
Colette was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended West Jordan High School. She received an Associate’s Degree from Salt Lake Community College. Colette had many talents. She loved to crotchet and was very knowledgeable in computer spreadsheets.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Edward Couton; brother, Dan Edward Couton; and grandparents: Stephen Harold Couton and Mildred Marie Cudney, James Kimber Hansen and Maude Bosworth. She is survived by her mother, Kaye Pearce and step-father, Gary B. Pearce; son, Kenneth Austin (Sadie) Tavener; daughter, Stevie Kaye Tavener; and their father Kenneth Henry Tavener. She is also survived by step-brother, Jeff (Molly) Pearce; step-sister, Susan (Jerry) Evans; and their extended family members.

- A private family viewing was held on Monday, Dec. 1, at Metcalf Mortuary.
