Neil Stratton, 84, passed away November 19, 2014. He was born in Hurricane, Utah, on October 28, 1930, to Leona Mae Elder and Girnzy Stratton. He married Laurel Hepworth on December 22, 1953, in Henderson, Nevada. They were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. Neil attended school in Hurricane, Utah and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laurel; son, Donald N. (Terri) Stratton; daughter, Joyce S. Gorman; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services
- Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS 10th Ward Chapel, 1178 South 700 West, Hurricane, Utah.
- Visitations will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main Street, and on Monday, Nov. 24, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the Chapel.
- Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
