ST. GEORGE – An incident at Red Cliffs Mall in St. George made a splash Sunday afternoon when a semitrailer reportedly ran over a water valve on mall property.
The incident took place at approximately 1:05 p.m. Erupting like Old Faithful, the water valve, damaged by the collision, launched a continuous cascade of water more than 50 feet into the air, putting on a show for mall patrons and passersby.
Tire damage was evident on the semitrailer, which was marked as a CFI vehicle – a subsidiary of the Con-way Truckload organization.
Authorities were notified of the incident but police did not respond to the scene and no citations were given, according to information from the St. George Police Department. The City of St. George Water Services Department was contacted to handle the issue instead.

The police didn’t respond and no tickets given. Those poor old cops must have been totally worn out after their stressful incident at Fiesta Fun! They must have been de-stressing and unwinding at one of the local doughnut shops.
The police did not respond because it’s on private property. Same thing would happen if you had a fender bender at the same location. The police would not show up or have any interest regarding a parking lot incident.

u r full of crap. they will show up if called, so shut ur mouth
They might show up, but won’t give any citations. It’s a civil matter because its on private property. That’s why they still haven’t shown up for the truck causing the geyser incident.
Trucking company’s insurance will be the one funding this mess. And that driver is likely to be unemployed this morning. At least we can all hope so. . .
“But police did not respond to the scene.” I’m sure they were still resting from the “Great Fiesta Fun Dance Raid” on friday.

dang, I missed a free car wash.
No citations because no stray dogs or feral cats were harmed…and there was no illegal dancing.
Well looks like the citizens of St George are going to be billed for this instead of the idiot behind the wheel
