ST. GEORGE — Two vehicles were towed Sunday afternoon following a collision on River Road and 700 South in St. George.
Just before 1 p.m., a black Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on River Road in the outside lane, St. George Police Sgt. Jeff Bahlmann said. As the driver of the Ford truck approached 700 South, he began to move across lanes to get in the left turning lane. As the truck moved across the inside lane, a gold SUV, also traveling southbound on River Road, struck the truck and the two collided.
St. George Police officers and St. George Fire responded to the scene. The left lane of northbound travel on River Road and the left turning lane for southbound travel on River Road were closed for cleanup.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the driver of the Ford truck was issued a citation for unsafe lane travel, Bahlmann said.
No injuries were reported.
