ST. GEORGE — Two vehicles were towed Sunday afternoon following a collision on River Road and 700 South in St. George.

Just before 1 p.m., a black Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on River Road in the outside lane, St. George Police Sgt. Jeff Bahlmann said. As the driver of the Ford truck approached 700 South, he began to move across lanes to get in the left turning lane. As the truck moved across the inside lane, a gold SUV, also traveling southbound on River Road, struck the truck and the two collided.

St. George Police officers and St. George Fire responded to the scene. The left lane of northbound travel on River Road and the left turning lane for southbound travel on River Road were closed for cleanup.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the driver of the Ford truck was issued a citation for unsafe lane travel, Bahlmann said.

No injuries were reported.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by responders on scene and may not contain the full scope of findings.

If the driving skills are any indication of the level of intelligence in the Dixie gene pool, I would suggest that these Dixie people stop any further inbreeding practices.

Holy cow. A wreck in St. GEORGE!!!??? That’s uncommon! All the drivers here are so considerate on the road and don’t ever get distracted by texting or I~pods or anything. I don’t understand how all these constant accidents keep happening!?

Guarantee the tool in the big black truck didn’t signal, as he cut across all lanes at the last minute to make his turn

Those funny looking things that stick out of the sides of your vehicle are not there just for vanity. Check your mirrors before you change lanes.
Oh, and know where you are going and be in the correct lane way ahead of when you have to turn.
    Driving is not Rocket Science!
