Rodney Jay Snarr

Snarr, Rodney O Obit(March 7, 1952—September 27, 2014)

Rodney Jay Snarr passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, September 27, 2014. He was born March 7, 1952, in Orem, Utah, to Cleo Jay and Dorothy Stringham Snarr. He married Judy Severson on March 12, 1971, and together they had three daughters. They were later divorced. He married his sweet soul mate, Kathryn Derricot, in a private ceremony. She preceded him in death.

Rodney was a jack of all trades. If it was broke, he could fix it, if it needed to be built, he could build it. He could make something out of nothing and that was truly a gift he possessed. He loved being outdoors, camping and fishing. The mountains were his sanctuary.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lynette (Justin) Vogel, Diane (Waco) Randall, and Cheryl Segler; nine grandchildren, Shevelle, Cameo, Harmony, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Justin, Jayde and Stacy; great-grandchild, Serenity; sister, Sally Snarr; brother, David Snarr; and special nephew, Skyelar. He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to Jolynn for helping with dad, to Jonathon and Betty for your selfless devotion to Rodney’s well being; and to Zion’s way and Alpine Medical for caring for Rod in his final days.
