The ceremony took place Sept. 8 in Las Vegas, at the Clark County Commissioner’s Chambers. During the ceremony Oliver was commended for his dedication and commitment to interrupting the vicious cycle of graffiti related crimes.

Oliver was also recognized for his efforts by the Knights of Columbus Mesquite Council Thursday at a 9/11 memorial service held at La Virgin De Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Oliver was named Mesquite Officer of the Year and Mesquite Firefighter David Neufeld was awarded Firefighter of the Year after the service.
