ST. GEORGE — A three-vehicle collision briefly blocked eastbound traffic Saturday morning at the intersection of St. George Boulevard and 1000 East.
Just before 10:30 a.m., a white truck was traveling eastbound on St. George Boulevard followed by a gold Cadillac SUV and a blue Ford F-150. Traffic slowed down in front of the white truck in the intersection, which caused the driver to slow to a stop.
The SUV stopped behind the truck, but the man driving the F-150 did not see that traffic had slowed and rammed into the back of the SUV, which pushed the SUV forward into the white truck, St. George Police Officer Hector Dominguez said.
The St. George Fire Department, St. George Police and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the scene. St. George Police blocked one lane of travel so that all three vehicles could drive out of the road and into the Conoco gas station parking lot, located at 995 E. St. George Blvd.
The driver of the F-150 was cited for following too closely and the gold SUV was towed, Dominguez said.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by responders on scene and may not contain the full scope of findings.
