Joseph James Flora, 49, passed away unexpectedly August 22, 2014. Joe was born January 19, 1965, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to James W. and Dorothy L. Flora. He married Lola M. Flora, in Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 8, 1994.
Joe was raised in both Florida and Utah. He worked in the auto-body and health care industry. His hobbies as a young boy included hunting, outdoors and camping. In his later years he enjoyed golfing and was excited to participate in the upcoming World Senior Games for the first time. He will be greatly missed by his young family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, his wife Lola M. Flora; sons Alex and Tyler; daughters Tiffany, Casper, Wyoming; Ashley M. Goold (Ryan), Orem, Utah; and Melissa Flora – currently serving an LDS Mission in Lansing, Michigan; Isabella M., St. George, Utah; brother – Jamie L. Flora (Carmen), Murray, Utah; sister – Janine L. Flora, Draper, Utah; grandchildren, Natalie R., Christina R., Casper, Wyoming; and Brooklyn N., Orem, Utah.
Funeral services
- Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah
- Visitations will be held Monday, Aug. 25, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 26 from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at Metcalf Mortuary
- Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery
