ST. GEORGE —Year 2 of the Marcus Matua era started with a bang as Snow Canyon won a shootout with 5A Copper Hills.
Chance Thorkleson caught eight passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns and Josh Barnes returned an interception 50 yards for a score in the win. Thorkleson scored on the first play of overtime and the SC defense held Copper Hills on four downs to save the win.
