WASHINGTON COUNTY – Rocky Mountain Power is reporting power outages in communities along state Route 18 northward affecting nearly 2,000 customers Tuesday morning.
Brookside, Central, Dammeron Valley, Diamond Valley, Veyo and Winchester Hills are reported to be without power according to Rocky Mountain Power’s website.
The cause of the outage is a substation interruption and a crew has been dispatched to to fix the problem. Power is estimated to be restored by around 11:30 a.m.
Southern Utah is under a “Flash Flood Watch” with heavy rainfall and conditions that may cause flash flooding throughout Washington, Iron, Kane, Beaver and Garfield counties. Read more: Flash flood watch, weather for Southern Utah.
