How many months until he can legally just leave home? With a name like Jeppson he is probably expected to take a mission soon.

  • Thanks for the update. August 10, 2014 at 7:53 am

It is helpful to have a follow-up to the first article. Glad the young man is safe.

  • rocknmom August 10, 2014 at 10:03 am

for those of us that know and love this family, it is very newsworthy.

Shut up, I know Stetson and you’re crazy if you think he wasn’t okay. He’s worse off at that horrid program school he’s at do you realize the bad (…) that goes on inside of those power abusing children hoarding profit organizational facilities????

people should get a handle on their spoiled brat children so I don’t have to hear about it. thats all

  • Anthony August 13, 2014 at 12:44 am

@bobber, Stetson is not a spoiled brat you assuming under analyzing (…) He’s a grown man . He is locked at a boarding school/residential treatment center against his will called Diamond Ranch Academy. He’s a good kid. He’s fighting for his right. He will be able to live on his own soon enough. By the way this is such a pointless (…) waste of an article, Stetson is a grown (…) man he’s been fine

I was in a Residential Treatment Facility! It was called Paradise Cove in Western Samoa. Diamond Ranch is a cake walk compared to my program. Not only that I bet my mother was the one who did the paperwork to have this kid sent there. Its good for him. In my experience nobody under the age of 18 living in their parents house has a say in what they can or can’t do. yes, hopefully he will learn the tools to be self sufficient. Maybe his parents will do what mine did and tell him he can’t come home. If you have any questions regarding Diamond Ranch give my Mom a call 1-800-429-6099. I think she would be happy to give you prudent information on solutions for your child as well.

      • Anthony August 13, 2014 at 11:19 pm

That’s some (…) What, are you some fool paid by diamond ranch that comments to make the place look good by comparing it to some other (…) place then comparing his parents to your (…) uncaring parents? And if you think you have NO SAY when you’re not 18 then you’re (…) radical and part of the problem with the children hoarding facilities. Diamond ranch is not a solution it’s a profit making hoax . (…) you for posting your phone number to get other people involved with your pitiful scheme

nope, just a program grad. Level 6. After 2.5 yrs I learned to deal with close minded folks like yourself. if every child had the chance to go to one of these school it would help them in so many ways. I would have never gone to college if I had not gone to Paradise Cove. I had a 1.6 GPA I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I would have to say it helped. Its ok to be envious of families that can afford this type of solution. Hey you know…in the news we hear about teens killing people because they have mental issues, well these program are perfect for them. Then they would not come into your childs school and shoot your kid in the face. Then the President would not have to take your precious guns away. These programs work. You are the reason children these days are weak minded and have a major lack of integrity.

  • Mean momma August 13, 2014 at 9:46 am

Anthony, you have no idea what you are talking about regarding the program he is at. Also, he is not yet an adult, so stop saying he is. If his parents feel he needs help, then most likely he does regardless of what you or he says.

    • Anthony August 13, 2014 at 11:16 pm

Don’t say I have no idea what I am talking about you assuming (…), I went to that treatment center nimwit I know all there is to know about it.

Sounds like you need to give Mom Dukes a call…here is the number just in case you missed it Teen Soulutions-1-800-429-6099. You need to go back to your program and re-learn how to be accountable for your own actions. Try and teach accountability to a teenager. You put yourself in that treatment facility. Your parents just paid for it because you did not have a job or any hope for a future. Your parents did care! they could have spent that money on traveling the world and left you mis-behaving butt at home.

I went to Diamond Ranch for a year and honestly want to give parents advice. Many lies are used by DRA, and abuse at the school is real. Not saying a program can’t help your kid, but DRA is a way to destruct your child, not reconstruct a responsible, mature member or society!

Based on results you have what you intend! You guys are program grads who tried to manipulate you way through the entire program. You guys learned nothing…..Its not your parents fault!

    • Incognegro (Josh Dalton) August 15, 2014 at 8:32 am

I am glad to hear that you are at least dealing with your addiction. The program was meant to give you the tools to deal with addiction….not cure it. I never even tried drugs until I graduated from the program. I am now 12 yrs retired from my career in Cocaine usage. You will fight your addiction for the rest of your life. I deal every day with my addiction to women and porn! Well I got married…that helps me work on those issues. Smoke weed brother! Put down the needles! They will kill you! I know its hard to stay up at night and study. I was prescribed Ritalin the battle ADHD so could not sleep in college anyway! Keep up the fight!

Graduated November 29, 2013. Typo my bad 🙁

  • Mean momma August 14, 2014 at 9:59 am

Why do you feel the need to call names? With no self control I seriously doubt your honesty about being a med student at Berkeley. Your immaturity level is way too high to be successfully attending a University such as this. Thanks for the laugh though!

Anthony I work at Volkswagen. The only affiliation I have with any treatment facility is the fact that my Mom runs her business as a administrator/owner schools for troubled teens. From your use of language and ignorance you must have been wee little tyke when I graduated in 1998. I was only 14 when I was admitted. You must have been just born. sounds like you are a product of the “I don’t spank my kids or let them walk to school era” of parents.

        • Anthony August 15, 2014 at 11:18 am

I had a long very well articulated and concisely logical message typed out in reply to you but then my phone died and erased it all. Basically you’re a … Parents will decide what they want to do with their kids and if you’re really not working for DRA then stop advertising and let your … mother do that. I hope she loses her job because she isn’t doing a good thing by working for a treatment center. I’m a firm believer of free-will and that even if you deprive kids of things they want they will not change if they do not want to. And being forced to go somewhere against your will staying there as long as it takes, and getting out on your own means isn’t “cheating” the program it’s getting through it in your own way. It’s unfair enough to get sent somewhere you don’t know and then get all communication cut off, and are you seriously that radical to think that these abusive treatments and deprivation actually helps these kids??? I know for a fact it certainly DOES NOT. Everyone I was stuck in that … hole with is living the way THEY WANT not how THEIR PARENTS WANT. We are humans we have brains we think thought and just because someone locks me up doesn’t mean I’ll magically agree with them, especially not because they spend money to do it. It’s all just a big money scam. All the staff are 19 -25 year old college students struggling to meet ends meet that just want a job and are extremely under qualified for this kind of job. It’s all such a shoddy make shift program, it’s constantly changing, and the kids are too but for the worse. You’re an awful man for endorsing such a thing. P.s. Just because I’m a free thinking individual that doesn’t brown nose every single unreasonable authority figure does not reflect how I was raised in any way you …; they are tough ppl I was belted spanked , smacked around, and more ; stop with the assumptions , you are a fool and a fools fool at that for supporting your mother me for trying to get others to join you. I hope you can recalculate your moral compass before it’s too’re not helping anybody you’re only hurting ppl , or at least trying to hurt them. Please stop don’t what you’re doing. For every post you put advertising DRA there will be 100 more posts from me destroying it’s reputation so good luck on trying to continue messing up others lives for your own narcissistic benefits …..

Hard to lose the job when your the owner of the business. I recommend you check yourself into behavior med. You still have a lot of anger to deal with. Maybe you the one who killed the cat or shot the dog. Name calling is never going to get you anywhere. Its funny that you think calling my Mother a name is going to get a rise out of me. I feel for your parents. Anytime you want to talk about you deep rooted anger and sexual repression I am open if you want to share. I will be honest with my feedback. GO FALCONS!
