ST. GEORGE — Ronald L. Read has been appointed to the Washington County Justice Court by the Washington County Commission. He replaces the Honorable Paul Dame, who has been appointed as a judge in the 5th District Juvenile Court.
Read is a graduate of Southern Utah State College and the University of Utah Law School. He has served as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court in Boise, Idaho, and as a deputy/assistant attorney for the City of St. George. In addition, Read has worked as an associate/shareholder with Hughes & Read and is the co-founder of Read & Wright, now known as Read & Wright, Naegle, Jensen.
Read’s appointment to the bench is subject to completion of the court’s new judge orientation and certification by the Utah Judicial Council.
