LAS VEGAS, Nevada – A son of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy was arrested Monday.
Cliven Lance Bundy, 34, was arrested on a warrant issued in July for failing to appear before a judge who oversees a drug diversion program, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. He faces charges related to contempt of court and parole violations. The arrest took place without incident.
KTNV reports Cliven Lance Bundy told the Associated Press he missed the appearance due to undergoing surgery the same day, and that he was trying to get his program counselor to help with the warrant. He has been attending a counseling program for an addiction to opiate pain killers.
The man’s father, Bunkerville, Nevada, rancher Cliven Bundy, made national and international headlines for the standoff between his supporters and agents of the Bureau of Land Management in April.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

So his son didn’t show up for court? Sounds like a deadbeat to me. Where do you suppose he got that from?
Uh-huh, he was undergoing surgery on the day that he missed his court appearance. Now just how many thousand times has that excuse been used. And unless he can document that it was EMERGENCY SURGERY, then he should have scheduled his surgery for another date. It sort of appears that this is a family of dirt bags. . .

Once again, 15 minutes of fame for the Bundy family. If only the news would report stuff we care about, like follow-ups on previous articles. How are the couple who were on a motorcycle going down the LV twist and hit that car? We NEVER hear any follow-ups.
I agree. It’s disappointing to hear part of the story but not how it ends.
The state of Utah probably would be reluctant to do anything about this law breaker, not with the instances of bribery and collusion in the office of Utah Attorney General and who knows what other state politicians. Most corrupt state in the US.
Why would the state of Utah care at all? He was arrested in Las Vegas.

I was out with a ladyfriend all night. Actually she spent the night, and I had a very important appointment the next morning, which I missed. However, I got excused for missing the appointment, because I made an “emergency” visit with a dentist. I would have been in big trouble otherwise for missing the appointment. So I can guess how Bundy is playing the system for missing court for a “surgery”. Probably planned this “surgery” on the same day he knew he was supposed to be in court.
We are so fortunate to live in an area the world’s most learned hypocrites have chosen to land. Now they can share their wisdom with the masses. How very Hollywood.
The wheels of justice are turning……..The Bundy’s will get their day, and it will be in a location much more favorable to the good guys. Women and children won’t be there to protect them.
