On Monday, August 4, 2014, Flora Jean Reynolds passed away in St. George, Utah. She was born on September 8, 1935 to Mark and Elizabeth Garvin in Marcus, Iowa. Known to her family and friends as “Jean”, she is predeceased by her father and mother and her sister Marcella. She is survived by her husband, Herman Dale Reynolds, sisters, Rita Neustrom and Helen Sample and brother Gerald Garvin. Having no children of their own, Jean was close to many nieces and nephews including numerous great nieces and nephews. In 1958, Jean met the man she would share her life with and they were married on January 31,1959 in her hometown of Marcus, Iowa.
Jean was a long time member in good standing of the Dixie Quilt Guild, St. George Utah. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of the St. George Catholic Church. Jeans deep, abiding faith carried her through many of her trials and tribulations over the years. Although the angels have carried Jean to her life beyond, she will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.
- Funeral services will be on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the St. George Catholic Church, 259 West 200 North, St. George, Utah.
- Rosary will take place at 9:30 a.m. and funeral mass at 10 a.m.
- A reception will follow services at Kuzy Hall, on the church property, 259 West 200 North, St. George, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Dixie Regional Medical Center or St. George Catholic Church.
