If you purchase your ticket on line and use promo code DJROTC, the local high school ROTC program will get some credit for the purchase and help fund the program here in So. Utah.

The directions need amending. The Sunriver Parkway ( SR 7) no longer ends at the Airport Parkway. You will need to exit at the Airport Parkway or you will end up in Washington Fields.

Right you are, Beerbelly. The Sunriver Parkway, which becomes the Southern Parkway at the I-15 interchange, does extend beyond the Airport Parkway. Directions revised as you suggest, thank you so much. 🙂

My understanding is that public parking for this event will NOT be found at the airport terminal parking lot, as SkyWest flights will continue throughout the weekend. People attending Thunder over Utah will need to drive PAST the terminal and hangars to the public parking lot entrance. Parking will cost $15 in addition to the entry costs, if it is not purchased in advance.

You are correct on there being no terminal parking. The original information was in error and has since been corrected.

Very Nice Program for Southern Utah. I hope all the security stuff doesn’t ruin it for some of the people. But, it is by an Airport terminal. Looking forward to seeing the World War II Reenactors. And the Civil War Reenactors. Hope it’s not too hot…

Do they have planes or other things for the kids to see and do?

  • Really? July 26, 2014 at 11:07 pm

Embarrassing air show. Two years ago there were several planes and helicopters, it seems they are hanging the whole thing on the Blue Angles this time around. 30 bucks a ticket and 15 dollars for parking?

Totally worth the money and the drive. We had an awesome time despite the heat and dust…but it was a wonderful air show!
