Search ongoing for man who fell from ledge into Colorado River

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. — The National Park Service received a satellite phone call Friday afternoon from a commercial river trip party reporting a missing passenger at River Mile 157 known as Havasu Rapids.

At approximately 3:10 p.m. Victor Tseng, of Phoenix, Arizona, reportedly fell from a ledge into the river. Tseng was not wearing a personal flotation device at the time and was last seen by members of his party below Havasu Rapids.

Tseng is described as 68 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, 175 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a long-sleeve aquamarine shirt, yellow bandana and tan pants.

The National Park Service is currently conducting a Search and Rescue operation. A missing persons investigation is on-going.
