Bank robbery in Washington City

Washington City – At approximately 10:30 a.m.  the Chase Bank located at 715 West Telegraph was robbed.

According to the Washington City Police Department,  a male entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money. The suspect was given money and left the bank.  No weapons were observed by witnesses.

The suspect is being described as a middle-aged caucasian male, approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall and heavy set.  He was further described as having an unshaven or “scruffy” face.  He was wearing a blue baseball cap, tan shirt and khaki shorts.   No hair could be seen protruding from under the cap.

A possible suspect vehicle is described as an older white Jeep Wrangler with Nevada license plates.  It was further described as having a soft top with tape covering the entire  back of it and a lift kit.

There were no injuries relating to this incident.  The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the F.B.I. and surrounding law enforcement agencies.
