An adult man was traveling eastbound on Telegraph Street when, for undetermined reasons, he veered off the hillside roadway near 1700 East on Telegraph Street between Washington Parkway and Highland Parkway, Washington City Police spokesman Ed Kantor said.

Although the car’s windshield was visibly shattered at the scene, Kantor said the damage to the car was minor.

The male driver initially refused medical assistance, but was later transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure, Kantor said.

It is unknown why the man left the roadway, he said, any impairments are unknown at this time and the incident remains under investigation.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by the authorities and may not contain the full scope of findings.
