Downed Biker Rally raises funds for injured motorcyclists

WASHINGTON CITY – Motorcycle enthusiasts will gather at Zion Harley-Davidson in Coral Canyon on Saturday for the second annual Southern Utah Downed Biker Fundraising Rally, which raises funds to aid southwest Utah bikers who have been hospitalized due to motorcycle accidents. The event will include a group ride, breakfast and lunch, live music and prize drawings.

Registration for the Downed Biker rally is $20 per person and includes two prize drawing tickets and a lunch wristband.

The schedule for the event is as follows:

9-10:30 a.m.

  • Registration at Zion Harley-Davidson, 2345 N. Coral Canyon Blvd. in Washington
  • Continental breakfast provided by Zion Harley-Davidson

10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • A group ride will depart from Zion Harley-Davidson and follow a route around Sand Hollow Reservoir, around the St. George Municipal Airport, over Red Hills Parkway and to the Gunlock loop
  • Ride ends at Vernon Worthen Park, 400 W. 300 South in St. George

1-1:30 p.m.

  • Lunch at Vernon Worthen Park | Sandwiches, chips and soft drinks provided by Chick-fil-A
  • Live music by Prime Time
  • Additional prize drawing tickets available for $1 donation per ticket | Event T-shirts available for $10 donation

1:30-2 p.m.

  • Prize drawing winners announced
  • Event concludes

All proceeds from the rally will go directly into the Utah Downed Biker Fund, which is spearheaded by the St. George Chapter of Bikers for Christ, Utah in conjunction with other ministries and organizations. Any local biker injured in a motorcycle accident and requiring hospitalization can receive financial help through the fund, along with assistance and counseling, regardless of the biker’s race, color, religion or club affiliation.

    I like that I hope President Obama and his fellow democrats read your your speech and take it seriously you have some good points there that need attention
