Cherie Lee McChesney Thompson, age 56, passed away May 1, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born January 26, 1958 in Gouverneur, New York to Edward Linley and Aileen Kearney McChesney.
After high school she served a mission in San Jose, California. She was also able to participate twice in the Hill Cumorah Pageant. To further her education she attended Rick’s College, Rexburg, Idaho where she met her husband to be, Robert George Thompson, Sr. They were married for time and all eternity in the Washington DC Temple, a marriage that lasted thirty years.
She loved to paint. She loved horses and to ride. She was an avid reader of The Book of Mormon and had a strong testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved her family very, very much.
She is survived by her husband, Robert George Thompson, Sr.; sons, Robert George Thompson, Jr., UT, David Scott Thompson, TX, James Alan Thompson, UT, Enoch Michael Thompson, CA, Joshua Aaron Thompson, CA; parents, Edward and Aileen McChesney, FL; sister, Linda (Steve) Wernli, GA; brothers, Mark (Leah) McChesney, Michigan, Christopher (Constance) McChesney, GA, Jeremy (Laura Lee) McChesney, CA; one granddaughter, Bailey Thompson.
