ST. GEORGE — A St. George woman was arrested Tuesday on public lewdness charges when she allegedly began to remove her clothes at Swig.
Jennafer Hughes, 33, began to remove her clothing at Swig, located at 300 W. St. George Blvd., around 7 p.m. Tuesday, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.
Police officers don’t believe intoxication led to Hughes removing her clothing, Despain said, but she was booked on an intoxication charge in addition to her lewdness charges. Children were also present when Hughes allegedly disrobed.
Police are unaware of her doing something like this in the past, Despain said.
Hughes was charged with lewdness involving a child, a class-A misdemeanor, lewdness, a class-B misdemeanor, and other charges.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
