SOUTHERN UTAH – Utah Highway Patrol is reporting heavy traffic on Interstate 15 southbound due to multiple vehicle crashes.
Interstate 15 has been closed southbound between mile markers 95 and 93, near Highway 20, just before Parowan. All southbound traffic is being diverted to the frontage road. Northbound travelers should expect delays. As of 5:35 p.m. northbound lanes were open.
The estimated time of road closures as of 5:05 p.m. is unknown. As of 5:35 p.m., southbound traffic was still closed.

Any reasons for the crashes…high winds, poor visibility, drug impaired drivers?
I believe it was poor visibility due to high winds and blowing dust.
