ST. GEORGE – The Washington County Drug Task Force arrested four men in the area of 2000 East 150 South in St. George Thursday.
Police arrested Christopher David Skeem, 24, of St. George; Corbin Michael Hill, 23, of St. George; Shane Tyler McNutt, 23, of St. George and Dylan Tyler Hertzberg, 20, of St. George.
According to the probable cause statement, detectives entered the home in conjunction with a search warrant and first came into contact with Skeem in the front living room. Skeem ran after being told to stop by detectives and they chased him into the garage area where he was arrested.
Detectives found in the garage a large quantity of suspected marijuana scattered underneath a vehicle and also inside of a food cooler. The suspected marijuana in the garage was individually packaged in vacuum sealed plastic bags and there was a digital scale with suspected marijuana residue found inside of the cooler, the statement said.
Detectives searched Skeem’s bedroom and found three counterfeit one hundred dollar bills and more plastic bags matching the ones found in the garage, according to the statement.
During the search detectives found suspected marijuana and paraphernalia in Hill’s bedroom, St. George Police Captain Kyle Whitehead said.
Police found suspected marijuana, paraphernalia and packaging in McNutt’s bedroom during their search. In addition, McNutt admitted to having messages on his phone indicating that he was dealing drugs, Whitehead said.
When detectives entered the home, Hertzberg was found trying to climb out of a window. Officers located suspected marijuana and paraphernalia near a shotgun in Hertzberg’s bedroom. Hertzberg admitted to police that he was selling marijuana and that the shotgun belonged to him, Whitehead said.
Skeem was charged with class-A misdemeanor’s of evidence tampering, failure to stop for an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia; third-degree felonies of drug possession and possession of a forgery device and second-degree felony drug possession. His bail stands at $41,658.
Hill was charged with class-A misdemeanor’s of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, his bail was set at $3,916.
McNutt was charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, class-A misdemeanors and second-degree felony drug possession. His bail was set at $13,886.
Hertzberg was charged with failure to stop for an officer, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, class-A misdemeanors; third-degree felony possession of a weapon by a restricted person and second-degree felony drug possession. His bail was set at $20,829.
All drug charges were enhanced by one degree because the arrests occurred within 1000 feet of a school, Whitehead said.
All individuals were booked into Washington County’s Purgatory Correctional Facility.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
