TOQUERVILLE — Emergency responders were dispatched to a fire at 1248 South Cholla in Toquerville at 7:35 p.m. Monday where they found a residential garage fully engulfed in flames.

Hurricane Valley Fire Chief Tom Kuhlmann reported that the homeowner heard a sound coming from his driveway area, Hurricane Police Sgt. Brandon Buell said. When the homeowner went outside to check, he saw flames coming from his two-story garage which was attached to the house by a breezeway.

The fire was contained to the garage but the garage and its contents were destroyed. Kuhlmann reported to Buell an estimated $85,000 loss for the garage and $85,000 loss for contents.

There were no injuries to homeowners or firefighters.
