Evan Boyd Hunter, 23, passed away on January 31, 2014. Evan was born in Henderson, NV to Bradley and Christine (Iverson) Hunter. Evan lived most of his life in Cedar City, Utah where he is survived by two brothers, Mason and Duncan and two sisters, Emily and Alison. He is also survived by his grandparents, Max and Nita Iverson. Evan graduated from Canyon View High School and Success Academy. He attended Southern Utah University where he achieved his Associate’s of Science Degree and was near completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Engineering and Technology. Evan had a love for knowledge and was fascinated with science, aeronautics, and how everything worked. He was a very hard worker and never hesitated to help family and friends. He was also a fun, outgoing and an energetic young man who enjoyed life. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, hiking, bicycling, ATVs and four wheeling. Some of Evan’s favorite foods were Spam, Tabasco, Burritos, Cheez-its, and Mountain Dew. Evan loved his family, he loved making them laugh and making his friends smile; always taking time to joke, tease and laugh. He was a great older brother who would constantly watch out for his younger siblings. He was also a wonderful son, making sure that the important things got done. He was a leader who was unafraid to be the kind of person he wanted to be. Everyone who knew Evan realized that he truly marched to the beat of his own drum. It was his determination, and his kind heart that drew people towards him. His soul that will pierce the heavens, and his will to over come any obstacle, are what we will miss the most about him. He made a distinct impression on everyone he met. Evan will be missed by many, but never forgotten. In keeping with Evan’s wishes there will be no open casket. He wished all to remember him as the fun, energetic person that he was.
