ST. GEORGE – The pinewood derby is a beloved Boy Scout tradition, and the Feb. 13 deadline for registration to participate in the Stephen Wade Challenge is fast approaching.
Local scouts and the Stephen Wade Auto Challenge will bring an exciting evening of racing on March 1, all geared to benefit local families.
Sponsored by Stephen Wade Auto, this event benefits the Boy Scouts of America – Zion District and the community. The inaugural derby, held in 2013, saw 50 entries.
The winner earns a car from the Stephen Wade Auto Center for a local family, along with cash prizes for the top six finishers that will be donated to the scouting unit of their choice.
Registration costs $250 and must be in by Feb. 13. Sponsorship opportunities are available for interested businesses and individuals.
For more information, visit the Stephen Wade’s Challenge website.
