Robert (Bob) Kent Nuttall

Nuttall, Bob obit(January 8, 1942 – January 27, 2014)

Robert (Bob) Kent Nuttall of Washington, Utah passed away on January 27, 2014, peacefully in his home surrounded by people who loved him.   Bob was born January 8, 1942 in Provo, Utah to Dean Isaac and Virginia Safford Hedquist Nuttall.  Bob married Pat Lucas Jones on September 10, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bob grew up in Provo, Utah and was a 1960 graduate of Provo High school.  After graduation Bob joined the Air Force.  Bob was very versatile in his careers owning several of his own businesses but was most active in the new/used car sales business in the Provo/Orem area.   After Bob’s retirement he and Pat moved to Washington in hopes of a longer golf season.  There, Bob worked part time in retail, a job he loved.  Throughout his career he made many friends who he spoke of often, keeping in touch with many throughout the years.

Bob’s true passions were golf and cars.  His latest acquisition was a 1987 El Camino that he was in the process of restoring.

Bob is survived by his wife Pat; his brothers, Jay (Jaylene) Nuttall of Mesa, AZ and Richard (Connie) Nuttall of Mapleton, UT; his daughters, Mary Kay Kennedy of Lindon, UT, Bridget Romele of Mt. View, CA and Jeanne Benson of Alpine, UT.   He is also survived by his stepchildren, Tonya Jones (Bryan) Edvalson of Cedar Hills, UT, Jackie Jones Marchbanks of Spanish Fork, UT, Gene (Jessica) Jones of St. George, UT and David (Melodie) Jones of Ivins, UT. Bob was blessed with 31 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Bob is preceded in death by his mother and father; his daughter, Patty Nuttall Stewart; his infant son, Robert B. Nuttall; and two brothers, David D. Nuttall and James C. Nuttall.

Bob was also blessed in his life by many friends,  Garth Bray of Provo, UT, Bob Sayer of Spanish Fork, UT, Tony Jensen of St. George, UT, and Norm King of Ivins, UT to mention a few.

Funeral Services

  • Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff, St. George, UT.
  • There will be a viewing one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
  • Interment will take place in the Washington City Cemetery with Military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Bob’s family would like to thank Dr. Judd Larowe and his staff, the Hospital Staff at IHC of Southern Utah and the staff of Community Nursing Services of St. George, Utah for their kind and loving care.
