ST. GEORGE — At approximately 11 a.m. Friday, an accident near the Bluff Street-Red Hills Parkway intersection resulted in three cars smashed in a row.
No injuries were reported, but the driver of the rear car, a white Honda Accord, was cited for following too close, St George Police Officer Tyrell Bangerter said at the scene.
All three vehicles were traveling westbound on Red Hills Parkway when the light at the Bluff Street intersection turned red. The front two vehicles – another white Honda Accord and a white Ford Five Hundred – stopped at the light. The rear vehicle, the Accord that reportedly caused the accident, didn’t stop and crashed into the Five Hundred which then impacted the back of the Accord in the lead.
The rear Accord sustained substantial front-end damage and was towed from the scene, but the drivers of the front two vehicles drove off on their own.
The accident caused traffic to back up on Red Hills Parkway for some time while it was diverted through the westbound right-hand turning lane.
Though there is substantial road construction taking place in the area, it was not considered a factor in the accident.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by the authorities and may not contain the full scope of findings.

the curse of the white honda accord
Here we go again, another “stupid” crash, not an accident .
The bigger curse is driving with HUA
OK, spectator in cheap seats, almost afraid to but we have to ask: What is HUA? (Google slang tells us it is “heard understood acknowledged”)
Enlighten us? 🙂
Joyce, it wasn’t my comment, but I’ve always heard HUA to mean “head up butt” (with a different word for butt).
