ST. GEORGE – A three-car accident occurred on westbound Red Cliffs Drive near the Mall Drive intersection at approximately 6:30 p.m., Wednesday.
A minivan was driving westbound and, for an unknown reason, didn’t stop at a red light crashing in to the back of a passenger car stopped at the red light, causing it to hit the passenger car stopped in front of it, St. George Police Officer David Slack said.
No major injuries were reported but St. George Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance responded as a precaution, Slack said.
The minivan and the middle passenger car both were towed from the scene and the two westbound right lanes were shut down for a while while all traffic was diverted through middle turning lane.
Ed. Note. Street name corrected from Mall Drive to Red Cliffs Drive.
