ST. GEORGE — A two-car accident on Brigham Road, in front of the Pilot Travel Center, blocked one lane of traffic for a short time early Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 1:10 p.m., a gray GMC Yukon heading eastbound on Brigham Road was making a left turn into the Pilot parking lot and hit a dark gray Toyota 4Runner traveling westbound, St. George Police Department Capt. Scott Staley said.
One lane of westbound traffic on Brigham Road was closed as a tow truck removed the 4Runner from the street and emergency crews cleaned up the debris.
Both vehicles had front end damage and were towed from the scene. The 4Runner’s airbags deployed, but there were no injuries reported.
The driver of the Yukon was cited for failure to yield.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by the authorities and may not contain the full scope of findings.

How many other accidents have happened here? It’s been my experience driving Brigham rd that the cars approaching from the east reach the area of the accident much faster than the cars heading east. Had a few close calls there myself both when I was headed east & heading west. Making a left turn into pilot is very risky.
